Community of Inquiry Pedagogy
SAPEA also supports teachers who are interested in the pedagogy of Community of Inquiry. Our aim is to foster genuine, rational dialogic inquiry in classrooms through the introduction of programs which integrate philosophical thinking across all disciplines, applying;
- Critical & Creative thinking strategies
- Dialogue
- Inquiry thinking Strategies
- Collaborative Thinking
- and Ethical & Caring Thinking.
What is the Community of Inquiry Pedagogy?
SAPEA is a member of the International organisation, the Federation of Asia-Pacific Philosophy in Schools Associations (FAPSA).
As a member of SAPEA you are also a member of FAPSA and eligiable for all the membership benefits of both organisations.
The SA Philosophy in Education Association is a member of The Council of Education Associations of SA.
